Free appliance repair in Appleton Wisconsin from Kelbachs to a family in need
Kelbachs Appliance repair is a local appliance repair business in Appleton Wisconsin. Giving back to the Appleton community is something that Kelbachs Appliance has been wanting to do ever since our appliance business started.
Kelbachs received a call from St. Vincent de Paul wondering if we would be willing to help them out, as they were looking for a dryer for someone in need.
We would finally be able to put our dreams of helping out the community into reality. Kelbachs Appliance Repair learned that we would be helping out Jolene, a mother of four just trying to support her kids.
We let St. Vincent de Paul know that we would gladly help them with whatever they needed. We got the address of where the appliance repair was needed and we were on our merry way.
Joe, the owner of Kelbachs Appliance Repair, made sure he was going to be the one on this appliance service call. He loaded up the work van and took off towards the address.
Joe arrived at the house that needed appliance repair. Right away he met the kind woman, Jolene, who desperately needed the repair.
She showed him to the old dryer in the laundry room and he did what he knows how to do best. He looked over the dryer with great detail. The dryer drum wasn’t turning. It needed a new rear bearing.
He took the dryers rear bearing out and brought it over to his service van. After a short search he found a new bearing of the correct size for the dryer. He replaced the worn out rear bearing and put the dryer back together. With a test dry done, the dryer was fixed!
What happened next was a surprise to everyone but Kelbachs. Joe told Jolene that he’s been looking to help someone in the community for a very long time, and that she wouldn’t be paying for the repair of her dryer today.
Jolene started to cry. She told Joe that nobody has ever been so thoughtful and cared for her in such a way. With tears of joy running down her face, this mother of four didn’t have to worry about how she would be able to afford to get her dryer fixed.
Jolene wrote the following email after:
I just wanted you to know how much it meant to me and to thank you. My life for what its worth has always been about my kids. They mean everything to me! When you did that for me, that was the nicest thing anyone has done for me. You made me feel like there is still good in this world. I am soooo thankful. You gave me my light back. You will never realize how important that is, and I hope this letter will give you a little bit of what it means. You will never be forgotten. Again, thank you.
Jolene
Joe said it was very fulfilling to be able to finally help out those in his community, and that Kelbachs looks forward to many more years of doing what they can to help those in need.
